eBay Guide: How to measure pants with a visual aid

Let's face it when buying online we as sellers need to give our buyers as much info as possible so they can make an informed decision. Answering questions is time consuming and can be frustrating to your buyer. Give all the details you can up front.

A - Front Rise - Measurement from the top of the waistband to the crotch at the front of the pants.

B - Inseam - Measurement of the leg length from center of the crotch to bottom hem of pant leg.

C - Leg Opening - Diameter of the leg opening (at the bottom of pant leg) measured across the inside. Multiply this number by 2 for the final measurement.

D - Back Rise - Measurement from the top of the waist band to the crotch on the rear of the pants.

E - Outseam - Measurement of the leg length from the top of the waist band at the hip to the bottom hem of the pant leg.

F - Waist - Diameter of the waist inside of the top seam. Multiply this number by 2 for the final measurement.

We include front rise, inseam, and waist on every single listing. On a very rare occasion we will get a request for on of the other measurements.

As a buyer I also check these measurements with a garment I own and love it's fit. Keep in mind that the waist and rise work together and cannot be taken by themselves. If the rise is only 6" and the waist is 30" that is very different than a pair of pants with a rise of 11" and the waist of 30". The first will sit low on the hips the second is considered a mid rise or nearer belly button level. Always use these two measurements together.

Have a blessed day loves! †
